Job Description Job Description Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid/Remote) Duration: 6 Months (with potential for extension) Type: Contract Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced OneSource Indirect Tax Consultant with a strong technical background in SAP ABAP and preferably Java , to support tax compliance and integration initiatives in a hybrid working model. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in implementing and maintaining indirect tax solutions using OneSource in SAP environments, with exposure to S/4HANA being a strong plus. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and support OneSource Indirect Tax integrations with SAP (ECC or S/4HANA). Work with the tax and finance teams to ensure accurate tax determination and compliance across jurisdictions. Lead or support OneSource-related projects such as upgrades, enhancements, and issue resolution. Develop and maintain SAP ABAP code related to tax integration logic. Collaborate with IT and tax stakeholders to troubleshoot and optimize tax configuration and performance. Ensure compliance with Direct and Indirect Tax regulations in international jurisdictions. Contribute to documentation, testing, and change management related to tax solution deployments. Required Qualifications: 8+ years of hands-on experience with OneSource Indirect Tax , including configuration, support, and integration. Strong technical background in SAP ABAP (required); Java knowledge is a plus. Experience in S/4HANA implementation or migration projects is preferred. Proven experience in global direct and indirect tax compliance support. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with Vertex or Avalara is a bonus. Understanding of tax determination logic and international tax rules. Exposure to Agile or hybrid project methodologies. Work Environment: Hybrid/Remote setup with occasional travel or in-person collaboration as needed. Flexible but responsive work hours based on project deadlines and stakeholder availability.
