Shift: 2:00 PM-1:00 AM

Hourly Rate: $23.51 an hour

Job Summary:

The Lead Buffer position coordinates and tracks all shipping information in warehouse management system including tracking damaged product, overweight's and building truck loads, ensuring appointment times are met, coordinating samples and hold issues with the Quality Assurance department, observing all safety regulations GMP, and quality standards are met ensuring facility maintenance through good housekeeping practices. You will report to the Logistics Team Leader. You will work onsite at the Council Bluffs location. Start rate $23.51, attendance incentive $0.60 per hour.

Essential Job Functions:

• Work the scheduled/assigned times, required overtime for position, and weekends
• Read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English
• You will work with forklifts including stand-up, sit-down, hi-lift, and tandems.
• Work in a cold environment
• You will lead Hourly associates in daily activities
• You will move up to 75 lbs.
• Basic math skills
• Basic knowledge of computers including spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and email
• Knowledge of warehouse management system i.e. SAP

Job Responsibilities:

• Print finished product pallet labels
• Verify trucks for loading
• Ensure daily reports are complete (e.g., daily capacity)
• Schedule warehouse staff
• Build truck loads and track overweight's by warehouse management system
• Ensure all load information is correct in warehouse management system
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance on sample and hold requests
• Track warehouse capacity in warehouse management system including damaged product
• Attend daily R&R meetings and participate in daily safety talks

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of forklift safety and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of proper forklift loading procedures
• Understand the effects of product damage
• Communicate with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of GMP's
• Be PIT Certified

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: Minimum 6 months forklift experience required. Previous lead experience.
