Overview Position Title: Museums and Galleries Student Asst - Art Gallery (Student Position) Location: Big Rapids, MI Department: Art Gallery Advertised Salary: $12.48- $13.24 Summary of Position: Student workers will assist in all duties relating to the installation and striking of exhibitions using proper art handling methods and Best Practices. Qualifications Position Requirements: Applicants should possess basic computer and office skills Effective interpersonal skills Good written and oral communication skills Be able to lift and carry verity of items to set up the gallery Responsibilities Interact positively and be able to discuss the art on display with a diverse demographic of visitors to the gallery including artists, students, staff, faculty, administration, and community members both youth and adult. Assist in maintaining attendance records Provide secretarial support and assist with updating and maintaining the gallery website and social media sites.
