Job Title: Phlebotomist II

Job Location: Upper Marlboro, MD 20774
Job Duration: 3 months+ (High chance of extension)

Shift hours: Mon - Fri 9 am – 6 pm.

Pay range: $21.80/hr. on W2

Job Summary:

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients who come in, either as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. The PSR II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality and patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center, or as business needs dictate.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform blood specimen collection (both forensic and clinical) and processing duties, following established procedures.

· Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure accurate handling of patient information.

· Create a positive and professional atmosphere for patients, providing clear explanations of procedures.

· Verify patient demographic information, including initials and patient signatures post-venipuncture to confirm tube labeling is accurate.

· Maintain records and documentation in compliance with company practices.

· Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

· Maintain a safe and professional work environment while following safety guidelines.

Job Requirements:

· Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

· Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

· Flexibility to work based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.

· Commitment to all company Policies & Procedures, including dress code, employee health and safety, and guiding principles.

· Decision-making ability based on established procedures and sound judgment.

· Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.

· Travel and flexible hours required to cover multiple locations and Patient Service Centers/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.

· Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

· Superior customer service focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients; knowledge of our business.
