Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract position is available for a Social Worker specializing in school settings to serve one middle school location in Coopersville, MI. This role is designed to provide leave coverage from September 3 to October 13, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. The caseload consists of approximately 30 middle school students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and provide counseling to support the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of middle school students.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and community resources to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
• Address barriers to learning and promote student well-being through direct services and advocacy.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state regulations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student progress.

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan school social worker certification (310 Certification).
• Licensure through the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).
• Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a school environment and engage with diverse student populations.

This assignment requires travel to one school site within Coopersville and may offer virtual work options if qualified on-site candidates are not available.
