This individual will be part of the Office of Student Advocacy and Support, performing a variety of complex assignments including supporting student's meet their basic needs through community resources and on-campus programs to support housing and food insecurity barriers to success. The UW Tacoma basic needs support program provides holistic support for students who are experiencing homelessness or hunger, ensuring academic success and preparation for lifelong achievement after graduation from postsecondary education. Under the supervision of the Director for Student Advocacy and Support, the Case Manager will work one on one with students using the social work centric case management model. The position's primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and assess a case management model in support of students in need of assistance in areas such as (but not limited to) food/housing insecurity, transportation, referral for medical and mental health/addiction services, childcare, and other basic needs.
