Job Description We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sommelier to join our team. As our Sommelier, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our guests' dining experience through your extensive wine knowledge and exceptional service skills. Curate and maintain an extensive wine list that complements our menu and meets our guests' preferences Provide friendly, responsive, and educational wine service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests Offer expert recommendations on wine pairings to enhance guests' meal choices Manage wine storage including inventory control, stock rotation, and temperature monitoring Conduct staff training sessions on wine knowledge, service techniques, and food pairing principles Collaborate with the chef and management team to develop wine programs and special events Maintain relationships with wine suppliers and stay informed about industry trends Ensure proper wine service, including decanting, temperature control, and glassware selection Assist in creating and updating the restaurant's wine menu and promotional materials Monitor and analyze wine sales data to optimize inventory and pricing strategies Assist with general floor service duties Qualifications Certification from a recognized sommelier program (e.g., Court of Master Sommeliers) Extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktails from various regions and styles Previous experience as a Sommelier in a fine dining environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach Proficiency in food and wine pairing principles Physical stamina to work long hours in a standing position and ability to lift up to 50 pounds Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Impeccable grooming standards and professional appearance Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
