The OR Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the operating and procedural rooms. Fulfills a leadership role by taking responsibility for monitoring and developing efficient daily workflows and staffing for the surgical area. Collaborates and partners with the Pre/Post Supervisor/Coordinator, anesthesia, and supply chain management at the surgery center and across the health system. Ensure appropriate equipment and supplies are available for all surgical cases. Provides direct support to staff and surgeons who are performing patient care. Responsible for providing oversight of the surgery center physician preference cards for new and existing surgeons.
Certifications: National Nursing Certification within 3 years - Varies; Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA); Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), Education: Bachelor's Degree: Nursing (Required), Work Experience: Surgical services 3+ years.
