Temporary Part-Time Office Assistant needed for Publishing company located in Princeton, NJ to assist preparing the libraries for an office move. The assistant is required 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) or about 5-6 weeks.
If you have experience in facilities or working in a library and are interested in gaining publishing experience please apply!!!

Job duties:
  • Work with Office Manager to prepare libraries for office move.
  • In designated areas, separate books as designated. Each bookcase should be clearly labeled with Keep or to be packed as directed. Labels will be provided.
  • Remove duplicate copies of books. 
  • Duplicate books can be packed for donation. Empty boxes will be provided.
  • Pack, count, label, and tape shut the boxes. They will be placed in the mail area when complete.
  • Pull catalogs and set them aside.
  • Pull educational materials and set them aside
  • Build boxes. 
  • Pack books into boxes: count, label, tape shut, and record quantities onto the log sheet. 
  • Bring boxes to the Dock for pick up
Requirements:

  • Degree preferred
  • Facilities experience a plus
  • Experience working with books in a library setting a plus
  • Prior experience with organizing
  • Must be comfortable bending, lifting, and being on your feet for most of the day.
  • Attention to detail is necessary.
  • Must be able to commit to assignment
