Job Description


American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, and Siemens MRI equipment experience.

Responsibilities


  • Position is within a short-term acute care teaching hospital, Level 1 trauma
  • Work in the MRI department serving inpatient, outpatient, ER, NICU, adult ICU, and community hospital cases
  • Shift is 4x10 hours, 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM, evenings with a rotating day off during the week
  • One Saturday per month and one holiday per rotation coverage may be required
  • No on-call is required
  • Candidates will float within the hospital as needed but not to sister facilities
  • Uses Siemens MRI scanners including Espree, Trio, Aera, Skyra, Sola, and Vida
  • EPIC is the required EMR
  • Position accepts first-time travelers
  • Must be able to float within the hospital to meet facility needs
  • Scrub color is black
  • Monthly parking passes are available for $68 per month
  • Facial hair must allow for fit testing or must be shaved if required
  • No medical marijuana cards accepted
  • No more than 7 days of requested time off may be approved per 13-week contract; no time off allowed the first week
  • Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler
  • Allied travelers may stay for up to 12 months with a required 6-month break afterwards
  • Orientation modules are compensated up to 16 hours

Requirements


  • Minimum 1 year of recent MRI technologist experience
  • Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required
  • IV start and PACS experience preferred
  • EPIC charting experience preferred
  • Preferred skills include abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, chest, breast, spine, musculoskeletal, CINE, and advanced MRI imaging techniques
  • Applicants must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; no locals accepted
  • Pending state license accepted if applicable; license required at time of consideration
  • Valid Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
