Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Neuro position requiring BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and recent neuro nursing experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work on a Medical Surgical-Neuro unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes CVA, TIA, altered mental status, general med diagnoses, trauma, neurosurgery, and stroke cases
• Patient ratio is typically 1:5-6
• Care for patients recovering from neuro surgeries and Neuro-PIN procedures
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00
• Block scheduling may be accommodated
• Required to work every other weekend
• Holiday rotation coverage is required
• RTO is limited during holidays
• Responsibilities include providing specialized care to patients with complex neuro diagnoses
• Team support environment with a variety of neuro-specific cases and procedures
• First time travelers may be considered
• Scrubs are required per hospital policy

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active MO or compact RN license must be in hand at time of consideration; temporary licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required (pending certification considered)
• Documented neuro nursing experience, including care for neuro-PIN, trauma, neurosurgery, and stroke patients
• Must live outside a 75-mile radius from the facility
