Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: 2240 Hubbard Rd., Youngstown, OH 44505 (Northeast Ohio Correctional Center)
Schedule: Night Shift | 36 hours/week (12-hour shifts) | Typically every other weekend | Tuesday start
Licensure: Must be licensed in the state of Ohio

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and perform technical procedures as per nursing standards and facility policy
• Assist physicians during examinations and treatments
• Operate sick call and pill call
• Escort or coordinate movement of inmates/residents for medical care
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all medical records and patient interactions
• Participate in audits, inspections, and support accreditation efforts (NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO)
• Engage respectfully and professionally with staff, inmates, and visitors under potentially hostile conditions

Requirements:

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Licensure & Certifications:

• Valid and active LPN license in the state of Ohio
• Valid driver’s license

Weekly Breakdown: Weekly Gross: $1,096.00 Per Week On W2(Taxable): $396.00 Per Week Stipend(Non-Taxable): $700.00 Per Week
