Job Description

Title: Oracle Database Administrator Location:Riverwoods/Chicago IL Duration: 18+ months Required Skills & Qualifications Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered:

Applicants must be able to work directly on W2
Expert-level Oracle Database Administration knowledge and enterprise-level DBA leadership with X years of minimum experience
Advanced experience with RAC, DataGuard, GoldenGate, and performance tuning with X years of minimum experience
Design and execution of large-scale backup, recovery, patching, and upgrade strategies with X years of minimum experience
Prior experience in a relevant industry is a MUST for this position
Education Level - Bachelor's Degree is mandatory in the field of Computer Science

Preferred Skills & Qualifications Nice-to-have skills but are not required:

Experience with AWS products/services, AWS RDS, cloud migrations, and decommission planning
Security, audit, compliance, and risk management expertise (SOX, PCI)
Strategic use of OEM, automation, monitoring, compliance, and operational efficiency

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Key tasks and expectations for the role:

Act as a technical leader and communicator across the database management domain and advisor across data management, infrastructure, and security
Mentor and upskill DBAs
Influence database architecture, short- or long-term operational strategy
Act as an escalation point for high-severity incidents, risks, vulnerabilities, etc.
Implement process standardization, best practices, and process improvement across the DBA team
Strong risk awareness and alignment with change control frameworks
